Policy and Procedures

M e e t  and  G r e e t s

We offer a Meet and Greet in your home. We meet you and your pets and walk through your daily pet care routine. During this time, you will also complete the home and pet information form. When an overnight booking is confirmed, 50% is due to reserve pet service dates. Should a client wish to have a pet sitter return for additional instructions or meetings with the animals prior to the start of the pet services, the client will be billed as a 30-minute visit at the prescribed rate.

A Working House Key is Required at Time of Meet and Greet

If Amor4Paws needs to return to the client’s home prior to the first service to obtain the key, the client will be billed for a Key Pick Up visit at the prescribed rate. If you have keyless entry with a code, please provide the code for access to your property, as well as a house key for back up.

Payment for Services

Payment for services is submitted prior to for services to begin or, in the case of a check or cash, is left on the counter for our first pet sit prior to the start of the pet service. You can also pay online via Google Pay for fast and easy convenience. If you are planning to use Google Pay as a payment method, you must pay 3 days in advance prior to service date. *Tips are very much appreciated, but not required.

Overnight Deposits

We require a 50% non-refundable deposit on all overnight pet sitting bookings. The deposit is due to reserve the booking. We have limited overnight availability and this ensures both parties are covered.

Early Return Home

Once a pet service reservation has begun, *No Refunds* or service credits will be issued for early returns.

Overnight Booking Changes

Shall you need to make changes to your reservation after booking, the amount prescribed prior to date changes is still to be paid in full. Once a booking has been confirmed, time is planned for you and your pets at that time and not other clients. Therefore, *No Refunds* or service credits will be issued. Thank you for understanding.

Additional Fees

If you need the pet sitter to your home before 5pm on your departure/start date of service, there is an additional fee. As for your return date back home, there is a small fee if the pet sitter is staying with your pet after 10am. Shall the pet sitter need to stay with your pet most of the day because you will be arriving home very late, you will be charged a "daycare day".

Regular Morning & Evening Visits

It is recommended that you book services at least 2 weeks prior. However, we try very hard to accommodate our established clients for last minute notices. We understand life happens and your pet may need some extra attention if you are going to be away for work, travel or family event. Home visits can be scheduled any time between the hours of 7:45am and no later than 8:30pm.

Concerns you should know about Every Other Day Pet Sitting

We DO NOT accept every other day pet sitting reservations. All pet sitting services must be scheduled at least 1x per day, in consecutive days in a row, at least one day after your departure to one day before your arrival date. This assures us that if your pet ends up stuck behind a dryer or other location, becomes ill, or the home air conditioner breaks in the summer, they can be assisted in a reasonable amount of time.

Weekend In-Home Overnights

Shall you need overnights on weekend days, two consecutive nights must be booked (Friday-Sunday). This is due to the high demand of weekend overnights. Therefore, we do not accept only one (1) overnight bookings on weekends.

Infectious or Contagious Disease or Illness

We do not care for animals with Infectious or Contagious Diseases or Illnesses. Even if the animal is quarantined away from other animals in the house. Reason being that we visit multiple houses each day and cannot risk spreading the illness not only to our pet sitters, but also to our other clients’ animals. Please notify Amor4Paws of any contagious illnesses prior to arriving to your home.

Winter Weather Policy for Dog Walking

Due to safety concerns for the pet caretaker and pets, we do not walk dogs below 0 degrees F. Healthy medium to large dogs will be walked for 30 minutes if the temperature is above 20 degrees F. Smaller dogs will be limited to 15 or 20 minutes if temperatures are between 20 to 32 degrees F. Shall we need to make the dog walk shorter due to cold and dangerous temperatures, we will provide indoor play time. This is to ensure your pet stays safe and comfortable during harsh winter days.
